External Assessment Preparation

Speaking rhetorically is pleased to announce an external examination preparation program for students in Brisbane. This program is suitable for students studying the QCAA subjects English, Literature, and English (EAL/D).

The sessions are limited to five students in order to ensure students can make the most of collaboration and receive individual attention from the teacher. Each session is facilitated by an experienced English teacher and QCAA EA Marker.

The program is designed to guide students through interactive and collaborative activities to increase their knowledge of the syllabus requirements, exam strategy and textual analysis. The facilitator will help the students to understand and distinguish the each element of the task. Students will collaborate with each other and the facilitator to develop their understanding of both their text and essay construction.

Sessions in term three will focus on deepening the analysis of the text, ensuring that the analysis matches the syllabus requirements. Sessions in term four will focus on essay structure, construction and practice.
This plan may change depending upon the needs of the students in the room.

Cost: $25 dollars per week
Time: 10am-11am Saturdays
Location: Community Hall, St Mark’s Anglican Parish, Cnr Bonney Avenue and Bellevue Tce, Clayfield
