Speaking rhetorically is pleased to announce an online external examination preparation program for students in Queensland. This program is suitable for students studying the QCAA subjects English, Literature, and English (EAL/D).
Students can attend the online sessions from the comfort of their own home while still reaping the benefits of small-group work. Limited to five students in a session, each session is facilitated by an experienced English teacher and QCAA EA Marker.
The program is designed to guide students through interactive and collaborative activities based on the syllabus objectives and previous marking schemes. The facilitator will help the students to understand and distinguish the each element of the task. Students will use the advanced collaborative tools of Zoom to engage and interact.
Sessions in weeks 1-6 (8 July to 17 August) will focus on deepening the analysis of the text, ensuring that the analysis matches the syllabus requirements. Weeks 7-13 (18 August to 20 October excluding school holidays) will focus on essay structure, construction and practice.
There are three choices of session:
Thursday 5-6pm
Saturday 8:30-9:30am
Saturday 12:15-1:15pm
